Residents Can Invest in Government-Backed Assets Starting from AED 1,000
The UAE has introduced its first retail Islamic Treasury Sukuk (T-Sukuk), allowing citizens and residents to invest directly in government-backed Shariah-compliant securities with a minimum investment of AED 1,000.
The initiative is expected to boost financial inclusion, encourage long-term savings, and expand participation in the UAE’s capital markets. Investors will also have the flexibility to trade their holdings through approved financial institutions.
