Dubai CommerCity Announces AED 1.8 Billion Expansion

Digital Commerce Infrastructure to Grow by More Than 91,000 Sqm

Dubai CommerCity is preparing a major AED 1.8 billion expansion, adding more than 91,000 square metres of new space across its Business, Logistics and Social clusters.

The expansion will be delivered in two phases, with the first scheduled for Q1 2027 and the second targeted for Q4 2028.

The development comes as demand for Dubai’s digital-economy infrastructure continues to rise. Across DIEZ’s three economic zones, occupancy reached 96% in H1 2026, while the number of companies increased 13% year-on-year. AI-focused company registrations at Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus jumped 95% during the same period.

Why it matters: Dubai is continuing to invest heavily in infrastructure designed specifically for e-commerce, logistics, technology and future trade.
