Red Sea Global takes control of troubled luxury destination

Saudi Arabia’s state-backed developer Red Sea Global is set to take over operations of Sindalah Island, one of NEOM’s flagship luxury tourism projects. The move aims to revive the high-profile destination after construction and operational challenges delayed its full launch.

Officials say the project remains important to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism ambitions. Red Sea Global plans to assess infrastructure, improve facilities, and reposition the island as a premium tourism destination.
