AI, cloud and data-centre investments dominate Saudi technology push
Saudi Arabia’s LEAP 2026 technology conference has generated almost $15 billion in technology announcements, investments and agreements, reinforcing Riyadh’s ambition to become one of the world’s leading technology and AI hubs.
The announcements cover artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centres, digital infrastructure, research and development and other emerging technologies.
Major international technology companies including AWS and Microsoft are involved in the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure ecosystem.
The scale of investment demonstrates how Saudi Arabia is moving beyond simply adopting technology and is increasingly building its own AI and cloud infrastructure to support future economic growth.
