Saudi Arabia Moves to Build a Stronger AI Infrastructure Ecosystem
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and AI company HUMAIN have signed an agreement focused on strengthening the Kingdom’s AI infrastructure ecosystem.
The partnership covers strategic cooperation in areas including AI infrastructure, data centres, technical expertise, knowledge transfer and national capability development.
The organisations will also explore solutions for government entities and work on studies related to the infrastructure needed to support the Kingdom’s expanding AI ecosystem.
The agreement comes as Saudi Arabia increases investment in AI computing capacity and digital infrastructure. The broader strategy could help the country develop a stronger domestic foundation for AI applications across government, business and other sectors.
This makes AI infrastructure—not just AI software—one of the major technology trends emerging from the Gulf in 2026.
