Emirate Strengthens Position as an Investment Destination
Sharjah recorded a 45% increase in foreign direct investment projects in 2025, according to the CEO of the Sharjah FDI Office, as the emirate continues to attract international businesses and investors.
The growth comes ahead of the Sharjah Investment Forum 2026, scheduled for October 14–15, which will bring together more than 80 speakers, including ministers, investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Sharjah’s non-oil activities accounted for 79.4% of the UAE economy in Q1 2026, with financial services, construction, healthcare and telecommunications among important growth areas highlighted by Invest in Sharjah.
Why it matters: The figures highlight the UAE’s broader success in attracting FDI outside traditional oil-related sectors.
