Indonesia Seeks GCC Trade Deal to Boost Technology Transfer

New trade agreement could strengthen Gulf–Southeast Asia supply chains

Indonesia is seeking a trade agreement with the GCC aimed at increasing technology transfer, strengthening supply-chain resilience and expanding economic cooperation.

The initiative could deepen links between Indonesia and Gulf economies across technology, manufacturing, energy and other strategic sectors.

For GCC countries, Indonesia represents an important Southeast Asian market with a large consumer base and growing industrial and digital economy.

A stronger trade relationship could create new opportunities for Gulf investors while helping Indonesian companies access capital, technology and regional markets through the GCC.
