Real-time pollution tracking and emissions monitoring expand
The UAE is strengthening its national environmental infrastructure through a new real-time air-quality monitoring and emissions-management system.
The UAE’s National Air Quality Platform provides a real-time overview of air-quality conditions across the country, while a centralised digital dashboard integrates monitoring data from local environmental authorities.
The government has also completed an integrated Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system covering priority air pollutants alongside greenhouse-gas emissions.
The next phase will include national air-quality forecasting and early-warning capabilities, allowing authorities to anticipate pollution events and respond more quickly.
The initiative falls under the UAE’s National Air Quality Agenda 2031, linking environmental policy with economic resilience and quality of life.
