Six investment opportunities move toward industrial implementation
Saudi Arabia is expanding its domestic water industry through a major $747 million investment push aimed at increasing local manufacturing and strengthening supply chains.
Six investment opportunities have moved toward industrial implementation as part of efforts to localise water-sector technologies and products.
The initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s wider industrial strategy by reducing reliance on imported water-related equipment while developing local manufacturing capabilities.
Water security is strategically important for the Kingdom because of its arid climate and growing demand from cities, tourism projects and large-scale developments under Vision 2030.
The investment could also create opportunities for technology providers, engineering companies and manufacturers involved in desalination, water treatment and infrastructure.
