Emirates Expands Premium Economy Service to Mauritius

Growing premium travel demand creates opportunities for tourism and aviation businesses

Emirates has introduced its Premium Economy cabin on two of its three daily flights between Dubai and Mauritius, giving passengers more premium travel options on the popular Indian Ocean route.

The expansion is part of Emirates’ broader strategy to deploy Premium Economy across selected international routes as demand for upgraded travel experiences continues to grow.

For Dubai’s economy, aviation expansion has effects well beyond the airline itself. More premium capacity can support tourism, hotels, restaurants, retail, events and business travel.

Mauritius is also an important leisure destination for travellers from the Gulf, India and other international markets, making the Dubai–Mauritius connection commercially significant.

The move demonstrates how airlines are increasingly using cabin-product upgrades and network adjustments to capture higher-value travellers.
