Higher fuel costs take effect across the UAE from September 1

The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee has announced new petrol and diesel prices for September 2026, with all major fuel categories increasing compared with August.

The new prices are:

• Super 98: AED 3.80 per litre
• Special 95: AED 3.69 per litre
• E-Plus: AED 3.61 per litre
• Diesel: AED 4.30 per litre

The new rates came into effect on 1 September 2026.

The increase is important for businesses because fuel costs directly influence transportation, logistics, delivery services, construction, manufacturing and other sectors that depend heavily on road transport.

Higher fuel costs can also feed into operating expenses and supply-chain costs, particularly for companies transporting goods across the UAE.

The monthly fuel-price system means businesses can continue to monitor global energy-market movements when planning transportation and operating budgets.
