UAE Non-Oil Trade Reaches Record $527 Billion

Global economic partnerships strengthen UAE trade growth

The UAE’s non-oil foreign trade has reached a record $527 billion, highlighting the country’s continued economic diversification and growing international trade network.

The UAE’s network of international economic partnership agreements has also expanded to 38 deals, giving local companies greater access to overseas markets and creating new opportunities for exporters, manufacturers, logistics companies, investors and financial-services businesses.

The development is particularly important for Dubai and Abu Dhabi because both emirates serve as major gateways between Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The growth in non-oil trade also supports the UAE’s broader strategy of reducing its dependence on hydrocarbons and developing sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, financial services, technology and tourism.

For international businesses, the UAE’s growing network of trade agreements can provide a regional base from which companies can reach multiple international markets.
