Economic outlook revised amid energy market uncertainty
The World Bank has reduced its global growth forecast for 2026 and warned that prolonged disruption to Middle East energy markets could further slow economic activity.
According to the report, continued uncertainty surrounding regional energy exports and trade routes could affect inflation, investment flows, and business confidence worldwide.
Despite these challenges, Gulf countries continue investing heavily in economic diversification, technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects aimed at reducing long-term dependence on oil revenues.
