New IMF growth projections for Gulf economies

A recent Reuters poll (conducted July 15–28) elevated MENA region GDP growth projections to 3.2% in 2025. Saudi Arabia is forecast to grow at 3.8%, the UAE at 4.8%, while Qatar is expected to grow 2.7% in 2025, accelerating to 5.4% in 2026. Oman and Kuwait are also projected to reach three-year growth peaks, driven by oil output increases, diversification into tourism and infrastructure, and disciplined fiscal management.
