Kuwait has escalated its efforts to curb illegal cryptocurrency mining activities, citing their significant contribution to the country’s power crisis. Authorities have conducted raids on over 100 locations suspected of unauthorized mining operations, leading to a notable 55% reduction in energy consumption in affected areas. The government emphasizes that such activities pose a direct threat to public safety due to their strain on the power grid.
